By submitting samples, placing an order, or using the services provided by Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

2. Our Services

Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA provides poultry DNA testing using molecular genetic analysis. Depending on the test ordered, services may include sex determination, breed identification, genetic trait testing, color genetics, or other poultry DNA analyses as they become available.

3. Sample Collection and Submission

Customers are responsible for collecting and submitting acceptable samples according to the instructions provided by Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA. Accepted sample types may include blood, feathers, eggshell membranes, or other approved materials.

Proper sample collection is essential for accurate results. Samples that are contaminated, improperly labeled, damaged, or collected incorrectly may produce inaccurate or inconclusive results. Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA is not responsible for errors caused by improper sample collection, contamination, incorrect labeling, or inaccurate information supplied by the customer.

Customers are responsible for all shipping costs and assume the risk of loss or damage while samples are in transit.

4. Testing Accuracy

Our laboratory follows established DNA testing procedures and quality control practices to provide reliable results. While DNA testing is highly accurate, no laboratory can guarantee 100% accuracy under every circumstance.

Results depend on the quality and condition of the submitted sample. Poor-quality, contaminated, or insufficient DNA may affect the outcome of testing.

5. Failed or Inconclusive Results

If a sample does not produce a valid result, Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA may attempt one additional analysis using the original sample at no additional charge when possible.

If testing remains unsuccessful due to insufficient or unsuitable DNA, a replacement sample may be required. Customers requesting testing of a replacement sample may be responsible for the applicable testing fee.

6. Payment

Payment is required before testing begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices are subject to change without notice. Any applicable taxes or processing fees will be added where required by law.

7. Refunds and Order Changes

Because laboratory testing begins shortly after samples are received, refunds are generally not available once testing has started.

Orders may be canceled before testing begins. If laboratory work has already commenced, cancellation requests may not be eligible for a refund.

8. Privacy

Customer information and testing results are treated as confidential and are used only to provide requested services, communicate results, process payments, and comply with applicable legal requirements. We do not sell customer information to third parties.

9. Limitation of Liability

Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or testing results. Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific test giving rise to the claim.

10. No Guarantee of Breeding Outcomes

DNA test results provide genetic information only. They do not guarantee breeding performance, fertility, hatchability, health, show quality, future appearance, or any specific production traits.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and the United States. Any legal dispute arising from the use of our services shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within Alabama.

12. Changes to These Terms

Old Funky Feathers Poultry & DNA reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website.
